Amanda Dean is a Certified Safety Professional in the Oil & Gas Industry. She graduated from Murray State University with a Master of Science in Occupational Safety & Health. Amanda began her career with Baker Hughes as an HSE Specialist for Field Operations in South Texas. She covered 13 facilities across multiple product lines. Presently, she works for Baker Hughes, a GE Company, managing the HSE program for Western Hemisphere Upstream Chemicals and Well Chemical Services divisions.

Amanda began her involvement with ASSE in the student section at Murray State University, serving as Student Chapter President. She was awarded the Scott Sewing Memorial Scholarship (sponsored by Applications International Corporation) in 2014. She attended multiple conferences throughout her student years, winning a PDC poster session award for noise exposure research conducted for the Department of Defense. She also became actively involved with the Future Safety Leaders Conference following graduation, joining the FSLC planning committee and speaking at the conference in 2015.

Amanda and her husband Rob, reside in the greater Houston, Texas area with their five children: Kelton-13, Kailea-9, Rory-7, Rilyn-5, and Eli-7 months. She enjoys spending weekends at the soccer fields or at the pool for swim meets. Her hobbies include CrossFit, photography, traveling, and making memories with her family.
